Cat Power

Cat Power, the project of Atlanta-born singer and songwriter Chan Marshall, comes to Vega in Copenhagen on October 11, 2026. Since the 90s, she has carved out songs where indie folk meets soul, blues and a raw, unvarnished rock feel. From Moon Pix to You Are Free and The Greatest, her catalog moves between stripped-back ballads and more electric textures, guided by a voice that can hover close then cut through with a grainy warmth. The songwriting stays direct, the arrangements leave air, and each track holds its own center of gravity.

Alongside her originals, Marshall regularly steps into other people’s repertoires, reshaping Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan or The Rolling Stones with a clear, unforced touch. On stage, that approach turns into a flow that can shift in mood without breaking the thread: quiet verses, sudden surges, a guitar line that loosens the room. At Vega, the set draws on key albums and a few carefully chosen covers, played with measured intensity and attention to detail.
