Michelle Birkballe

On March 20, 2026 at Kulturcafe Ludvig in Sorø, Denmark, Danish singer and guitarist Michelle Birkballe brings a set rooted in rock’n’roll, rockabilly, country and blues. Active since the late 1990s, she writes and sings in English as well as Danish, with lyrics drawn from everyday scenes, straight portraits and stories from working-class life, carried by a simple, narrative style.

On stage she favors a lean electric setup—often presented as the Michelle Birkballe Band—where a driving rockabilly pulse and twangy guitars sit at the core.
