Drug Church

Drug Church will take the stage at Club Das Bett in Frankfurt am Main on 22 September 2026. The band from Albany, New York, weaves punk-hardcore, post-hardcore and alternative rock into songs with dense guitar tones, heavy grooves and direct melodies. Frontman Patrick Kindlon employs a spoken-sung, dryly ironic timbre; the lyrics revolve around everyday frustration and social friction, crisply drawn and without pathos.

From their debut Paul Walker (2013) via Hit Your Head (2015) and the EP Swell (2015), the focus has noticeably shifted toward melody without losing hardcore’s edge. After signing with Pure Noise came Cheer (2018), the EP Tawny (2021) and Hygiene (2022), which further refine the balance of force and catchiness. Live, this translates into compact songwriting: punchy riffs, stoic rhythms, choruses that stick, and Kindlon’s semi-sung delivery that keeps the tension. An evening that marks the intersection of punk, emo and guitar rock—edgy, clear and to the point.
