Begonia will take La Sala Rossa in Montreal on October 2, 2026 with The Fantasy Life Tour. Behind Begonia is Alexa Dirks, a strong voice on the Canadian indie scene who has sharpened her songwriting between alternative pop, soul and R&B, with well-balanced electronic touches. Originating from the vocal collective Chic Gamine, she laid the foundations of her universe with the EP Lady in Mind, before cementing her signature on Fear and then Powder Blue, where vocal harmonies intertwine with arrangements that blend synths, backing vocals and more organic textures. Her lyrics probe intimacy, vulnerability and identity, without losing a knack for catchy melodies. On stage, Begonia puts the voice at the center, moving from suspended ballads to more urgent tracks, and works with atmospheres that are almost cinematic. The Fantasy Life Tour promises a set that spans her different periods while highlighting the mix of sensitive pop and soulful energy that defines her.
