Dotan

Dotan plays on 23 October 2026 at SPOT/De Oosterpoort, Groningen. The Dutch–Israeli singer-songwriter has spent more than ten years developing a restrained brand of folk-pop in which his voice serves as the compass. With spare melodies and a strong emphasis on atmosphere, he writes personal songs that feel intimate. The breakthrough with "Home" and the album 7 Layers put him on the map; since then his work has revolved around vulnerability, clarity and meaning.

Live, Dotan consciously keeps things small: vocals and harmonies up front, with sparse arrangements around them. This creates a direct exchange with the audience. His path has taken him to Rock Werchter, Pinkpop, Sziget, Pukkelpop, Montreux Jazz and even a performance in the Vatican—venues where his minimalist approach resonates.

After Last Goodbyes he opens a new chapter. The fifth album focuses on contemporary, stripped-back songs with candid lyrics and a rougher edge. In Groningen he will present that new material alongside familiar songs. Expect a set that builds slowly, leaving room for silence, communal singing and attention to detail, without getting lost in excess: the core remains the voice and the song.
