Blaudzun

On 17 April 2026 Blaudzun will perform at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Blaudzun is the project of singer-songwriter Johannes Sigmond (born Arnhem, 1974), rooted in indie rock and folk with pop arrangements in which strings and brass regularly make an appearance. Since the self-titled debut in 2008 he has developed a distinctive signature: from Seadrift Soundmachine and Heavy Flowers via Promises of No Man’s Land and the two-part Jupiter to UP and π. The voice — often low and taut — sets the lines, while melodies and rhythm carry the songs.

Live, Blaudzun typically performs with an expanded band that translates the studio layers into a more direct, pulsing sound. The set moves between intimate songs and driving tracks, with attention to layered arrangements and strong dynamics. In Eindhoven he draws from his entire catalogue, with a focus on interplay and the concert’s dramatic arc. No detours — songs that take shape on stage, from stripped-down moments to richly elaborated passages.
