Info

Lebanon Hanover is the post-punk and coldwave duo of Larissa Iceglass (CH) and William Maybelline (GB). Formed in the early 2010s between Sunderland, Berlin and the UK, they build a spare sound around repetitive basslines, mechanical rhythms, angular guitars and detached vocals in English and occasionally German. With The World Is Getting Colder and Why Not Just Be Solo (2012) and Tomb For Two (2013) they established their minimalist language, later deepened on Besides the Abyss (2015) and Let Them Be Alien (2018), where sharper guitars and synthetic textures are given more space. Sci Fi Sky (2020) opens the spectrum toward more melancholic, expansive atmospheres, while the tight core remains intact.

On 3 March 2026 Lebanon Hanover will perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht with a live approach centered on pulse and contour: pulsing basses, ticking drum machines, and vocals that stay dry and detached. Between new wave heritage and contemporary minimalism, they pursue tension through repetition and contrast, without overloading the essence.
