Info

On 24 June 2026 Sophie Ellis-Bextor takes the stage at the Zuiderparktheater in The Hague. The London artist began in the late 1990s as the frontwoman of indie band Theaudience, but found her own direction when she released the club classic “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)” with Italian producer Spiller. From her solo debut Read My Lips she developed a distinctive blend of electronic pop, disco and a touch of new wave, with melodies that hit straight away.

In the years that followed she maintained her connection to the dance floor — for example with “Not Giving Up on Love” alongside Armin van Buuren — while albums such as Wanderlust and Familia revealed a more orchestral, singer‑songwriter side. The Song Diaries recast her repertoire in a new, symphonic light, and during the pandemic she released Songs from the Kitchen Disco, a collection that grew out of her home livestreams. With 2023’s Hana she explores a pop sound in which her dance heritage sits alongside more atmospheric arrangements.

Expect a set in The Hague that effortlessly moves between her club roots and those later, richer studio layers, leaving room for familiar singles as well as recent material, sung with precision and ready for a summer evening in the park.
