Luka Bloom

On 10 June 2026 Luka Bloom will perform at Caprera in Bloemendaal. The Irish singer-songwriter, born Barry Moore and the younger brother of Christy Moore, has kept his shows close to the essentials for decades: voice and guitar, as direct as possible. His live set relies on a rhythmic, percussive playing style and lyrics that touch on everyday life, travel and social issues. Expect a solo performance in which new material and familiar songs alternate, with reinterpretations he delivers tightly and personally.

From early classics like Riverside and The Acoustic Motorbike to later work such as Innocence and This New Morning: in concert these songs gain added intensity through timing, dynamics and silence. Bloom seeks intimacy, leaves room for stories between the songs and thus builds a natural rapport with the audience. In Caprera’s open-air setting this restrained approach comes into its own: acoustic, clear and straightforward. An evening where the songs are central and every note falls exactly where it should.
