Hasan Raheem

Hasan Raheem performs on 22 May 2026 at Melkweg, Amsterdam. The Pakistani singer-songwriter from Gilgit has been developing his own sound since the late 2010s, situated between alternative R&B, urban pop and hip-hop influences. He writes straightforward melodies, often works in a slow to mid-tempo register and sings with a calm, controlled voice in Urdu and English. His first tracks appeared online and positioned him within the independent South Asian scene, at some distance from traditional TV pop.

In 2022 he surfaced on Coke Studio Pakistan with “Peechay Hutt,” alongside Justin Bibis and producer Talal Qureshi. That release broadened his reach beyond Pakistan and underlined his taste for electronic pop and rap rhythms. The same year saw Nautanki, an album that moves from minimalist R&B ballads to more dancefloor-oriented numbers.

Live, Raheem is all about the song, repeating vocal motifs and a tight, spare production. Expect a set that builds steadily, shifts between intimate and danceable moments, and makes room for new material alongside the familiar singles.
