Hasan Raheem

Between alternative R&B, urban pop and hip‑hop influences, Hasan Raheem has been carving out a distinctive place within Pakistan’s new generation since the late 2010s. Originally from Gilgit and based in Karachi for his studies, he first distributed his tracks online, featuring direct melodic writing, slow tempos and a calm vocal delivery that often mixes Urdu and English. His early singles quickly circulated on streaming platforms and positioned him within the South Asian independent music scene, distinct from mainstream televised pop. In 2022, his appearance on Coke Studio Pakistan with the track “Peechay Hutt,” alongside Justin Bibis and producer Talal Qureshi, greatly expanded his audience while confirming his interest in blending electronic pop with rap rhythms. That same year Hasan Raheem released the album Nautanki (2022), which brings together directions already explored in singles, from minimalist R&B ballads to more dance‑oriented tracks. Performing on major urban stages in Pakistan as well as internationally, he continues to focus on the song form, the repetition of simple vocal motifs and a pared‑down production.
