cleopatrick brings its guitar-and-drums punch to Studio 919 in Victoria, BC on Saturday, May 23, 2026, with special guests. Formed in Cobourg, Ontario, the duo of vocalist-guitarist Luke Gruntz and drummer Ian Fraser crafts a direct, unvarnished rock that blends hard rock weight, alternative tension and indie edges. They first surfaced with tracks shared online, then the EPs 14 (2016) and The Boys (2018), where Hometown widened their reach beyond the local scene.

Their debut album BUMMER (2021) pushes their core formula: thick, riff-led sections offset by more melodic breaks, tight structures and a sound built for the intimacy of a duo. On stage, cleopatrick keeps it lean—heavy riffs, elastic grooves and close-knit interplay—while lyrics circle around friendship, small-town realities and the uneasy step into adulthood. The show unfolds with the same DIY mindset they share with the new rock mafia collective, for a night centered on the essentials: songs, volume and a sharp, no-frills energy.
