Info

Die Krupps mark 45 years with a tour that lands on April 10, 2026, at the Dickens in Calgary. The band from Düsseldorf, led by Jürgen Engler with long‑time contributor Ralf Dörper, has, since its beginnings in the early ’80s, linked the sounds of industry with electronic rhythms. From the raw noise and metal textures on Stahlwerksynfonie to the tightly sequenced EBM patterns on Volle Kraft Voraus! and on to the ’90s fusion of heavy guitars and programming on I and II – The Final Option, Die Krupps have steadily shifted the balance between machines and rock.

On stage they draw from the entire catalogue: the mechanical grooves, the physical pulse and the politically charged lyrics, but also the more melodic force of later releases such as The Machinists of Joy, V – Metal Machine Music and Vision 2020 Vision. Live the band delivers a tight setup in which EBM, industrial and metal alternate without losing direction, with Engler’s vocals and the characteristic rhythmic patterns as the axis. It’s an anniversary set that ties the workshop’s hammer, the sequencer and the riff together and demonstrates how Die Krupps still link club and engine room.
