Info

On July 25, 2026, Fury In The Slaughterhouse will take the stage at the Amphitheater in Trier. Founded in Hanover in 1987 around the brothers Kai and Thorsten Wingenfelder, the band has found its place between alternative and pop rock: guitars clearly in focus, direct hooks, and vocals predominantly in English. The sound draws on US college rock and the British pop tradition, without losing its own distinctive signature.

With early albums such as Fury in the Slaughterhouse (1988), Jau! (1990), Hook a Hey (1991) and Mono (1992), the group set the tone before, in the mid‑90s, pursuing more detailed production on The Hearing and the Sense of Balance and later Brilliant Thieves. Live, Fury mix high‑energy numbers and quieter pieces, often addressing introspective or social themes.

After a long pause the band returned to the studio and released the 2021 album NOW — a fresh start that expanded their repertoire with contemporary songs. In Trier, Fury In The Slaughterhouse will span the arc from their beginnings to the present: familiar melodies, new chapters, and a band that delivers its English‑language rock vocabulary on open‑air stages just as naturally as in clubs.
