Info

On 29 November 2026 Mammoth, the project of Wolfgang Van Halen, brings its brand of rock to Cologne’s Bürgerhaus Stollwerck. The US musician, multi-instrumentalist and producer of his own songs blends alternative influences, heavy drive and clear melodies. Under the name Mammoth WVH, the song “Distance” drew attention as a tribute to his father, Eddie Van Halen. The self-titled debut introduced the direction with tracks like “Don’t Back Down” and “Epiphany”: driving riffs, catchy choruses and precise arrangements. With Mammoth II, Wolfgang delivers a denser, more direct variant that keeps the focus on songcraft and structure.

On stage he is backed by a steady live line-up that translates the studio work into a compact, high-energy sound. Guitars up front, a propulsive rhythm section, vocals with clear hooks — the songs unfold between anthemic passages and harder-edged sections. The evening presents Mammoth as a band with its own identity, close to the material and free of superfluous effects.
