Joe Jackson & Band on 31 October 2026 at the Metropol Theater Bremen. The British singer-songwriter began his career in the late 1970s, trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London. With Look Sharp! (1979) and I’m the Man he honed his blend of pop, rock and new wave; Beat Crazy followed in 1980. Night and Day was released in 1982, featuring the track “Steppin’ Out,” followed by Body and Soul (1984) and the live-conceived Big World (1986). Between excursions into orchestral work he released Will Power (1987), Blaze of Glory (1989) and Laughter & Lust (1991). He later returned in band format with Volume 4 (2003) and followed up with Rain (2008), Fast Forward (2015), Fool (2019) and What a Racket! (2023).

On stage his songwriting takes precedence: precise arrangements, clear melodies and a rhythmic approach with an edge. The band spans the range from early singles to current pieces, leaving room for dynamics and detail. The concert condenses Jackson’s range between pop, rock, new wave and chamber-music colors—focused, direct, without frills. In Bremen, a repertoire spanning more than four decades meets a band that performs these songs with vitality and intimacy.
