Prinz Pi brings his lyrics to Munich: On October 19, 2026, the Berlin native will take the stage at TonHalle München. Since the late 1990s, Friedrich Kautz has shaped the German-language rap landscape — first as Prinz Porno with straightforward battle rap, later as Prinz Pi with a narrative, reflective approach. Live, he combines precise observations, cultural references and snapshots of everyday life with a sound that sits between alternative hip-hop and pop-rap. His catalogue ranges from Neopunk (2004) via !Donnerwetter! (2006) and Rebell ohne Grund (2011) to Kompass ohne Norden (2013), pp=mc² (2015), Im Westen nix Neues (2016) and Nichts war umsonst (2017); occasionally he returns to his alter ego Prinz Porno, for example on Teenage Mutant Horror Show 2 (2014). On stage, storytelling tracks meet clear hooks, older songs are paired with newer material, and rougher passages contrast with melodic elements. The set showcases the different phases of his work in quick succession — lyrically close, focused and true to the essence of his songwriting.
