On 27 February 2026 at the VIP on Boulevard de la Légion d’Honneur in Saint‑Nazaire, Beat Torrent returns to the decks with Pfel and Atom, figures of C2C and DMC champions. Rooted in turntablism, the duo blends hip‑hop, electro, rock and bass music in a live set built for the stage. Precise scratches, seamlessly reassembled samples and rapid transitions shape a style close to the mashup, between revisited versions and original tracks. Their set leans toward a more electronic, club‑oriented sound in the vein of the EP Reset, without renouncing the hip‑hop DNA that made them known.
Al’Tarba, a Toulouse beatmaker affiliated with the Droogz Brigade, charts a course between dark boom bap and a more melancholic abstract sound. You can hear the shadow of Necro or Stoupe, a marked taste for cinematic atmospheres, and electro‑swing detours reminiscent of Chinese Man, with occasional softer passages akin to RJD2 or DJ Shadow. On stage, his new live show combines hip‑hop, electro, touches of punk and bursts of reggae, like a montage that slips from horrorcore to brighter textures without losing its narrative tension.
