Rise Against

On July 8, 2026, Rise Against will take the stage at the Radiant - Bellevue, 1 rue Jean Moulin in Caluire-et-Cuire. Formed in Chicago in the late 1990s, the band has carved out a space between punk rock and melodic hardcore, with a taut yet melodic sound driven by Tim McIlrath’s voice. Alongside the singer-guitarist, Joe Principe on bass, Brandon Barnes on drums and Zach Blair on guitar form a solid core, built for both bursts of speed and more mid-tempo passages, skirting the edge of incisive alternative rock.

From the hardcore origins of The Unraveling and Revolutions per Minute to the broader scope of Siren Song of the Counter Culture and The Sufferer & the Witness, then Appeal to Reason, Endgame, The Black Market, and more recently Wolves and Nowhere Generation, Rise Against’s trajectory is reflected in singable choruses and lyrics that probe social tensions, American politics and personal dilemmas.
