On April 4, 2026, at Le Molotov in Marseille, The Foreign Resort takes the stage. Formed in Copenhagen in 2009, the trio has spent more than a decade refining a blend of darkwave and post-punk driven by reverb-drenched guitars, taut basslines, and shadowy synths. Their trademark: melancholic yet propulsive songs, built for the road and for live performance. The band has toured extensively across Europe and North America, appearing at SXSW, Wave Gotik Treffen, and Cold Waves, and sharing bills with Cold Cave, The Soft Moon, and Killing Joke. Releases include the album Outnumbered (2019), the EP The Rabbit Hole (2020), and OutRemixed (2021). Recent singles Resound, Southern Skies, and Endurance herald a new album due in spring 2026 on Artoffact Records.
Cabaret Fantôme opens the evening with a brand of dark rock from Nantes. Dark guitars, inhabited vocal lines, and bursts of melody: the band engages with the ghosts of a forgotten rock to shake it up, hovering between post-punk tension and dark romanticism. Their world progresses through contrasts—gripping rhythms set against chiaroscuro atmospheres. A dive into a landscape where shadow serves as a point of reference.
