Odezenne, the Bordeaux trio of Alix Caillet, Mattia Lucchini and Jacques Cormary, bends rap and chanson into spoken word, bare poetry and dry humor, with electronic and acoustic textures. Their discography sketches a clear path: Sans chantilly (2008), 1200 mètres en tout (2012), Dolziger Str. 2 (2015), Au Baccara (2018), 1210 (2021), Unplugged (2022) and the live album Beste (2023). Themes circle intimacy, the times, love and the absurd, with lines that stay close to the bone.
On stage, the delivery is upfront and physical, letting space, groove and words share the lead. Odezenne will play Théâtre Beanfield in Montréal on February 14, 2026. Between hard edges and quiet breaks, the set threads spoken word, beat-driven passages and fragile melodies, channeling the group’s way of staging intimacy, irony and everyday strangeness.
