Info

Paul Simon, singer-songwriter and one half of Simon & Garfunkel, continues his A Quiet Celebration Tour and stops in Paris. He takes over the Grand Rex on May 4, 2026, for a concert conceived as an intimate, acoustic interlude.

The show opens with Seven Psalms, a 33-minute piece written for acoustic instruments and carried almost entirely by his voice and guitar. Designed for venues with careful acoustics, this suite highlights his storytelling and economy of expression, presented in a stripped-back staging that leaves room for the words and the timbres.

After a short intermission, Paul Simon runs through his repertoire: signature songs and rarer pieces, some never previously performed, rearranged specifically for this tour. He will be accompanied by close musical collaborators: Steve Gadd (drums), Bakithi Kumalo (bass), Mark Stewart (guitars), Andy Snitzer (saxophone), Jamey Haddad (percussion), Mick Rossi (piano, keyboards), Gyan Riley (guitar), Nancy Stagnitta (flute), Caleb Burhans (viola) and Eugene Friesen (cello). An evening crafted for attentive listening and subtlety, in the setting of the Grand Rex.
