Bertrand Belin

Bertrand Belin continues his journey with a new album that broadens his playground without breaking the thread. He pushes his explorations further, refines his writing and places the piano at the heart of several tracks. That piano, never showy, is woven into a restrained blend of electronics, guitar and drums he has been developing since his recent records, but with a different slant. In subtle strokes the strings lift the harmony and carry the voice into other atmospheres, between an earthy grounding and loftier flights.

The lyrics probe very concrete existential questions: the place we occupy, the way we look, move, love, pay attention, take the plunge, and doubt. Belin sings more, lets his generous prose breathe, and, from an assumed minimalism, brings forth new branches. On stage, this material takes on a particular relief, balancing rhythmic precision with spaces left to silence. He will be at Bocapole Bressuire on 18 September 2026 for a performance that puts the voice and the grain of the instruments front and center, without unnecessary effects.
