Info
Les Wampas will be at Noumatrouff Mulhouse on March 7, 2026. Led by Didier Wampas, the French band born in the 1980s has forged its own homegrown mix of punk, rockabilly and yé-yé flourishes, with no-nonsense choruses that hit straight to the point. Their repertoire includes well-known tracks like "Manu Chao", short songs and stories where irony and tenderness meet, and a direct way of addressing the audience. On stage, the Wampas play fast and tight: raw guitars, a solid, locked-in rhythm section and immediate backing vocals. No showboating, just songs built to be sung together. The band preserves that slightly chaotic freedom that can carry a room from pogo to a wobbly slow dance, without nostalgia or grandstanding. Formed in the 1980s, they still move forward with the same energy, alternating rapid numbers, sing-along choruses and amusing asides. On March 7 at Noumatrouff Mulhouse, people come for the straightforward sound, the closeness and the collective momentum.
