Protoje

Jamaican artist Protoje, a pillar of the Reggae Revival, will perform at La Coopérative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand on 27 March 2026. From his earliest tracks he established himself with songs such as Who Knows, Rasta Love, Kingston Be Wise, Switch It Up and Really Like You, and with an approach that blends roots with contemporary music. His reggae naturally draws on hip‑hop, soul, R&B, trap, dub and sometimes rock, with a sense of groove that carries both the melodies and the lyrics. A multiple Grammy Award nominee, Protoje has built up extensive touring experience and a strong stage résumé, from clubs to major festivals. At the same time he founded The In.Digg. Nation, a collective and platform that has supported the rise of a new generation of Jamaican artists and helped circulate the energy of the Reggae Revival movement. On stage he showcases this mix of influences with a repertoire that spans his various creative periods.
