Info
On 16 December 2027, The Lightning Seeds land at O2 Institute Birmingham with the kind of sharp, melodic pop-rock that made them a key name in UK guitar pop. Built around Ian Broudie’s songwriting and studio craft, the project started as a near-solo operation and grew into a full live band without losing that clean, punchy sound: chiming guitars, tight arrangements, and choruses that stick.
Expect a set that moves through their 90s run of bright, hook-led songs, from the buoyant rush of The Life of Riley to fan staples like Change, Lucky You, Perfect and You Showed Me. There’s also space for the band’s later chapters, where the production stays crisp and the melodies stay upfront, from the 2009 comeback Four Winds to more recent material like See You in the Stars. A night for anyone who likes their indie pop direct, melodic, and built for singing back.
