Info
On October 16, 2026, at The Rockin’ Chair in Wrexham, Ash marks 30 years of 1977 with a stripped-back, intimate anniversary show built around the album that helped define their high-voltage blend of power-pop hooks and alternative rock punch. Expect the band to revisit the full 1977 run like a proper live story: tight, fast songs with pop songwriting at the core, from the rush of “Lose Control” to the wider-screen finish of “Darkside Lightside.”
This night also nods to the album’s long tail, with room for era staples such as “Oh Yeah,” “Coasting,” “Sneaker,” “American Devil,” and “Silver Surfer,” plus a few deep-cut surprises and alternate takes that reframe familiar choruses. Three decades on, Ash’s DNA is still the same: direct melodies, sharp guitars, and that built-for-the-stage energy, just delivered closer to the audience for a different kind of intensity.
