Info
Robert Glasper lands at Blue Note London on November 13, 2026, bringing that in-between zone where contemporary jazz rubs shoulders with hip-hop, R&B and soul without forcing it. As a pianist and producer, he’s built a sound that stays rhythm-first and flexible: tight grooves, quick turns in the harmony, and improvisation that never loses the thread of the song.
From his early trio records (Mood, Canvas, In My Element, Double-Booked) to the more electric, vocal-forward Robert Glasper Experiment era on the Black Radio series and ArtScience, he’s always played with formats and textures. Expect a set that can move from post-bop touch to club-minded beats in the same breath, with room for sharp musical conversations and those hooks that stick.
Glasper’s long list of collaborations (Bilal, Erykah Badu, Common, Kendrick Lamar, Terrace Martin) says a lot about his range, but live it’s all about the moment: a band that listens hard, stretches the tunes, and keeps the pulse front and center.
