On March 19, 2027, Stephan Eicher arrives at the Théâtre de l’Ardaillon in Vias with his tour “Seul en scène.” A lean, no-frills format that puts at the forefront what has defined his strength since the 1980s: the voice, the sense of rhythm, and that very personal way of weaving languages and moods from one song to the next. Punk and new wave at the outset, followed by a phase of minimal electronics with Grauzone, Eicher later opened his territory to rock, pop and folk, until he settled permanently into the realm of French-language song. On stage, one can expect a journey through his best-known songs and his more recent periods, with Philippe Djian’s writing serving as a through line, an essential companion to his repertoire. A concert conceived as an intimate crossing, where each song takes time to breathe and to tell its story.
