Info
Skip the Use returns to the stage with its mix of rock, punk energy and electro impulses. On 28 November 2026 at Le Douze in Cergy, the band led by Matt Bastard delivers a direct set designed for movement, with razor-sharp guitars, a driving bass and nervy keyboards.
Formed in 2007 around former Carving frontman Matt Bastard, the quintet also includes Yann Stefani, Jay Gimenez, Lio Rapsaert and Manamax Catteloin. A self-produced debut album in 2009 paved the way; Can Be Late followed in 2012 and earned them the Victoire for Rock Album in 2013. Since then, Skip the Use has kept touring extensively and has refined a precise sound, anchored in brisk choruses and an unrelenting rhythm.
In Cergy, the band strings together older songs and new material, played back-to-back with no downtime, using that ability to build tension and then kick the engine back into gear. A no-frills live show, where people come for the riffs, the gang vocals and the impact.
