Info
Crash Test Dummies bring their folk‑hued alternative rock to Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on 11 October 2026. Formed in Winnipeg, the band shaped a singular sound around Brad Roberts’ deep baritone and the melodic counterpoint of Ellen Reid. Three Grammy nominations, a JUNO win and worldwide singles like Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm and Superman’s Song put them on the map in the early 90s, while their version of The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead cut through via the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack. After two decades away, they regrouped in 2018 to mark God Shuffled His Feet and found an audience still eager to hear those songs live.
Onstage, original members Brad Roberts, Ellen Reid, Dan Roberts and Mitch Dorge lead a tight unit with long‑standing guitarist Stuart Cameron and keyboardist Leith Fleming‑Smith. Expect a set that threads the acoustic storytelling of The Ghosts That Haunt Me, the layered harmonies of God Shuffled His Feet and later textures, played with the easy chemistry of a group that knows its catalogue inside out. The baritone, the harmonies and a steady folk‑rock pulse anchor the night, with room for favourites and deep cuts.
