Christopher Cross brings his melodic, soft-rock songbook to Bristol Beacon, Bristol, on 20 May 2026. Expect a set shaped by his smooth voice, clean guitar lines and unfussy arrangements, from the breeze of Sailing and the momentum of Ride Like the Wind to the film theme Arthur’s Theme and later cuts from Doctor Faith, Secret Ladder and Take Me As I Am. Rooted in west coast pop with light jazz touches, his show leans on harmony and space, revisiting early highlights while giving room to newer songs that carry the same understated craft.
Chris Difford sets the stage with the dry wit and everyday detail that defined Squeeze. In a stripped-back format, he threads stories and songs, drawing on Up the Junction, Cool for Cats, Tempted and Black Coffee in Bed alongside solo material shaped by acoustic pop and folk. His phrasing stays unhurried, the humour intact, sketching small scenes and sharp characters that land with clarity. Together, the two performances map out different shades of classic songwriting, from West Coast glide to London street corners.
