Info

Ocean Colour Scene play Brighton Centre on 8 December 2026. Formed in Birmingham in 1989, the band shaped its sound between early indie roots and a tighter strain of British rock, coloured by blues and soul. Close ties with Paul Weller and a 1995 tour with Oasis shifted them into the britpop frame, followed by a run of records that defined their style: Moseley Shoals, Marchin' Already and One from the Modern. On stage, Simon Fowler's voice, Steve Cradock's crisp guitar work and Oscar Harrison's steady pulse drive songs that favour melody, clear lines and a grounded mod spirit, from their self-titled debut through Mechanical Wonder, North Atlantic Drift, On the Leyline, Saturday and Painting.

Sharing the bill, The Enemy bring a lean, street-level indie rock first sketched in Coventry in 2006 by Tom Clarke, Andy Hopkins and Liam Watts. Short, tense tracks with punchy guitars and lyrics rooted in everyday life carried them from early demos to tours with Oasis, Kasabian, Stereophonics and The Rolling Stones. Their run of albums - We'll Live and Die in These Towns, Music for the People, Streets in the Sky and It's Automatic - framed a first chapter before a break in 2016. Back together since 2022, they've returned to stages across the UK and the festival circuit.
