Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers returns to the stage on April 24, 2027 at the Zénith in Toulon. Song, rock and rhythms from elsewhere collide in a set where his deep, measured voice evokes images of ports, roads and cities. From his earliest journeys to his latest recordings, he weaves lyrics rooted in reality, with a taste for urban and maritime atmospheres, subtle backing vocals, brass that warm up without force and percussion that turns the compass toward Brazil, the Caribbean and Jamaica.

On stage, Lavilliers moves forward with purpose, guitar slung over his shoulder, surrounded by musicians seasoned in hybrid sounds: supple bass, polyrhythmic drums, keyboards and electric guitars that glide from reggae to ballad, from jazz to chanson. The concert draws on a wide repertoire, from classics that marked his travels to more recent tracks—such as those from Clair-obscur—rearranged for the stage.
