Lloyd Cole

After several years of touring in troubadour mode, Lloyd Cole changes course and goes electric. On 22 June 2026 at La Bouche d’Air - Salle Paul Fort, Nantes, he presents a plugged-in solo set, Telecaster slung over his shoulder and a Princeton amp, to run through the whole span of his song catalogue. On the bill are songs written with the Commotions, including “Rattlesnakes,” up to the recent tracks from On Pain (2023), along with the key moments of his solo discography.

Formed on the Glasgow scene before settling in the United States, Cole long toured with two acoustic guitars and an intimate repertoire. Today he revisits that catalogue with an electric edge, prioritizing the songwriting, the voice and spare arrangements. No band, no frills—just a songwriter facing his songs, rearranged for an electric guitar that underlines melodic lines and lyrics.
