Info
For more than thirty years, Neil Hannon has been shaping, with The Divine Comedy, a pop defined by precise storytelling and a mischievous eye. With Rainy Sunday Afternoon, his thirteenth album, he continues to explore stories where humour slips into tenderness and where melancholy surfaces without pathos. The record displays his taste for meticulous orchestrations, lucid melodies and portraits of everyday life rendered by a watchful pen, balancing a wink with measured distance.
The Divine Comedy will play in Paris on 2 March 2026 at the Salle Pleyel. It will be an opportunity to hear these new songs take on greater scope live, amid a repertoire now well established—between orchestrated pop, discreet swing and more electric flashes. Hannon, the sole master at the helm, alternates a tone of knowing intimacy and gentle irony, as a bandleader who is as much a storyteller as a singer. The concert is designed both for those who have followed his career and for curious listeners ready to enter this singular, finely wrought universe.
