Shanti People

Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, Shanti People develops an electronic project at the crossroads of psytrance, techno and progressive trance, built around mantras and vocal lines inspired by Indian devotional repertoires. Shanti People emerged in the 2010s with a formula that combines club pulse, psychedelic textures and melodic motifs drawn from a spiritual imaginary, in a format designed as much for live shows as for festivals. The project has appeared on stages such as Ozora Festival, Sunburn Festival, Ikarus Festival, GogolFest and Eurovision Village Kyiv, and has performed across several European countries as well as in India, the United Arab Emirates and Mauritius. Over the course of its trajectory, Shanti People has also expanded collaborations within the trance and psytrance spheres with artists like Vini Vici, Mandragora, Billx, Sajanka and Skazi. Shanti People’s style remains centered on a direct fusion of contemporary electronic music, dancefloor energy and the recurring use of the mantra as a rhythmic and identifying element.
