BIGBANG
Formed in Seoul in 2006 under YG Entertainment, BIGBANG initially debuted as a quintet before continuing as a trio centered on G‑Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung following Seungri’s departure in 2019 and T.O.P’s withdrawal in 2023. While rooted in K‑pop, BIGBANG blends hip‑hop, pop, R&B, dance and electronic music, with songwriting and production largely driven by its members, notably G‑Dragon. After BigBang Vol.1 in 2006, the group rose to prominence with tracks such as “Lies” (2007), “Haru Haru” (2008) and “Fantastic Baby” (2012), marking an evolution toward more melodic, synthetic and club-oriented formats without abandoning its rap foundations. BIGBANG’s Korean discography includes Remember (2008) and Made (2016), and their activities in Japan produced several albums, including Number 1 (2008), Big Bang (2009), Big Bang 2 (2011) and Alive (2012). A regular on major stages across Asia, Japan, North America and Europe, BIGBANG has also developed side projects like GD & TOP. After a long hiatus due to solo activities and military service, BIGBANG returned in 2022 with the single “Still Life.”
