Jim Legxacy

Rooted in southeast London, Jim Legxacy develops a hybrid project where rap, singing and entirely self‑produced production intersect. Coming from the Nigerian diaspora in the UK, he has been shaping since the late 2010s an aesthetic that mixes British rap with drill and trap inheritances, touches of R&B, echoes of indie rock and afro‑pop references — often built around melodic samples and sharply edited rhythmic arrangements. Jim Legxacy’s tracks alternate between rapped verses and sung choruses, feature marked tempo changes and lyrics focused on everyday life in London, family, identity, faith and relationships, while also drawing on internet culture, video games and adolescent imagination. Primarily released online before appearing on rap and alternative stages across the UK, Jim Legxacy is part of a new generation of London artists blurring the lines between rap, pop and electronic music, multiplying collaborations and features within that network while pursuing a highly personal approach to sonic storytelling.
