Zack Fox

Raised in Atlanta, Zack Fox initially developed his practice in a milieu where visual arts, underground rap and internet culture intersected, notably within the orbit of the Awful Records collective. His musical output sits within trap-dominated rap and Southern hip‑hop, driven by absurdist writing, a marked flair for short, punchy lines and a frequently detached delivery, oscillating between provocation, dark humour and social observation. From the late 2010s he progressively established himself as a rapper alongside his work as a writer, illustrator and actor, with tracks produced with Kenny Beats such as “Square Up” and “Jesus Is the One (I Got Depression)” in 2019, which broadened an already prominent online universe. He has also worked on The Eric Andre Show and appeared in Flying Lotus’s 2017 film Kuso, experiences that extend a deliberately chaotic and satirical aesthetic. On stage as well as in his releases, Zack Fox combines frontal rap, club energy and disruptive humour in a format where performance matters as much as the songs.
