Rolf Sanchez

Born in Ede, the Netherlands in 1991 under the name Roelof Johannes Wienk, Rolf Sanchez develops a career at the crossroads of Dutch pop and Latin music, nourished by his Dominican maternal origins and by early use of Spanish. Revealed in the Netherlands during his participation in X Factor in 2011, he begins with 'Ave Maria' the same year, then quickly reorients his project toward a more defined Hispanic repertoire. Settled for a time in the Dominican Republic and then in Miami between 2015 and 2018, Rolf Sanchez adopts an aesthetic blending Latin pop, romantic salsa and urban tropical, with songs built around direct melodies, Caribbean rhythms and a flexible interpretation, between radio-friendly register and Latin heritage. This phase leads him to collaborate with several artists on the Latin scene and to place 'Por si no te vuelvo a ver' in 2015, 'Que se siente' in 2015, and 'Vas a entender' in 2016 on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart. Back in the Netherlands, Rolf Sanchez subsequently broadens his audience with 'Pa olvidarte' with Emma Heesters in 2019, then 'Más más más' in 2020. His first album, Mi viaje, appears in 2022 and extends this bilingual identity, between accessible pop, tropical colors and Dutch anchoring.
