Greywind
In Killarney, in southwest Ireland, Greywind takes the form of a family duo made up of Steph O’Sullivan on vocals and her brother Paul on guitar. The project sits at the crossroads of alternative rock, emo and melodic pop-punk, with songs driven by crisp choruses, dense guitars and songwriting focused on emotional tension rather than showmanship. Greywind emerged in the mid‑2010s and quickly established itself on the British and Irish rock scene, notably through appearances at festivals such as Reading & Leeds and Download, and through BBC support. Their debut album, Afterthoughts, was released in 2017 and set the foundations of the band’s sound, between upfront energy and more airy melodies. In the years that followed Greywind went through a more intermittent period before returning with new tracks, including "Antidote", which extends this identity between emo intensity, contemporary rock production and a very direct melodic sense. Since then Greywind has maintained a tight formula built on the complementarity between Steph O’Sullivan’s voice and Paul O’Sullivan’s guitar playing.
