Baby Bugs

Based in Los Angeles, Baby Bugs takes shape as an alternative project founded by Bowie, whose songwriting evolved as a way to put into words experiences related to mental health disorders and emotional violence. Baby Bugs’ music sits between alt-pop and dark alternative, often adopting an aesthetic associated with traumacore: spare melodies, haunted atmospheres and confessional lyrics focused on trauma, mental health and abusive relationships. Baby Bugs emerged in March 2021 with “Hey Bunny”, the first official single quickly circulated online, immediately defining the contours of an intimate and confrontational world. Subsequently, Baby Bugs released tracks such as “Gaslight”, continuing this direct writing approach in which heavy themes are addressed head-on within tight pop formats. Driven by Bowie’s voice and perspective, Baby Bugs builds a repertoire that articulates vulnerability, traumatic memory and the need for personal expression in a concise, dark and accessible form.
