HONEYMOAN
Formed in Cape Town, South Africa in 2017, HONEYMOAN evolves at the crossroads of indie pop, alternative rock and a light psychedelic sensibility, with tracks where melodies stay central and textures keep a direct approach. The band formed around Alison Rachel, Skye MacInnes, Josh Berry and Kenan Tatt, in a dynamic born from Cape Town's independent scene. HONEYMOAN first releases the double single </3 / We in 2018, then the Body EP in 2019, recorded in Josh Berry's home studio, a context that illuminates the intimate and sharp character of these early tracks. During this period, the band refines a writing that blends soft guitars, pop-rock rhythms and a subtle tension between fragility and energy. HONEYMOAN thus situates itself in a South African scene connected to international indie circuits, with gigs and releases that accompany its move from a local project to broader visibility. The name HONEYMOAN today refers to this early phase of career, marked by concise alternative pop, traversed by dream pop and psychedelic rock accents without losing an accessible song format.
