Alemeda

Born in Ethiopia and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Alemeda develops a project positioned between alternative pop, indie rock and alternative rock, with a pop-punk background and some R&B inflections in her melodic writing. Alemeda first appeared in 2020 on 'Slow Down', a track by Reason from the album New Beginnings, before launching her own repertoire with 'Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows' in 2021, a drum-and-bass-tinged song that marked her emergence. The next phase of her career moved toward a more distinctly pop-rock format, evident on tracks like 'Post Nut Clarity' in 2022, then 'Ur So Full of It' and 'First Love Song' in 2023. At the same time, Alemeda moved among several American scenes, from indie pop to rap, with appearances on projects by Ab-Soul and Ibrahim Maalouf. In 2024, Alemeda signed with Top Dawg Entertainment in partnership with Warner Records and released the EP FK IT, before following up with But What The Hell Do I Know in 2025, notably driven by 'Beat A B!tch Up' with Doechii.
