Rome Streetz

Born in London and raised in Brooklyn, Rome Streetz is part of the East Coast underground hip‑hop lineage with a rap firmly rooted in New York street culture. Active since the mid‑2010s, he made a name for himself on the independent scene through a series of mixtape‑style projects, where he has honed a style built on dense rhymes, an unshowy flow and a marked taste for boom‑bap instrumentals with dark samples. His lyrics depict everyday life in working‑class neighborhoods, informal economic logics and survival trajectories, often using a narrative approach. Rome Streetz regularly collaborates with producers who specialize in minimalist, cinematic sounds, notably DJ Muggs, with whom he released the album "Death & The Magician" in 2021, before joining the Griselda collective around Westside Gunn. That collaboration resulted in "Kiss The Ring" in 2022, which positioned Rome Streetz within the Griselda sphere while maintaining strong ties to New York's underground circuits and labels.
