Runnner

Under the name Runnner, Noah Henry Weinman has been developing an intimate, hushed and melodic indie rock from Los Angeles, centered on understated songs and direct songwriting. Active since 2017, Runnner first self-released the album awash, then the EPs Fan On in 2019 and One of One in 2020 — early signposts of a still self-produced project before signing to Run for Cover Records in 2021. That label arrival was accompanied the same year by the release of Always Repeating, a record that revisits and reworks tracks from awash and One of One. Rooted in an American indie scene where restrained rock, spare songwriting and held-back arrangements intersect, Runnner has also circulated his music through several collaborations, notably with Skullcrusher on “Snowplow”, Field Medic on “Housekeys” and Sun June on “Colors”. In 2023 Runnner released like dying stars, we’re reaching out, presented as his first album made entirely of new material, and in 2024 he extended that material with starsdust, an ambient album constructed from the stems of the previous release.
