Esther Rose

Rooted in the late-2010s American scene and initially tied to New Orleans’ country-folk soil, Esther Rose has built a path where Americana, country and folk converse through direct songwriting and increasingly open arrangements. After This Time Last Night (2017), she evolved her format on You Made It This Far (2020) and How Many Times (2021), where the early acoustic thread widens toward a more restless approach between alternative country, indie pop and restrained electric rock. Safe to Run (2023) extends that shift with a more stripped-down tone, before Esther Rose delivered Want in 2025 on New West Records, an 11-track album produced by Ross Farbe and recorded live to tape at the Bomb Shelter in Nashville. It also features Dean Johnson and musicians from Video Age, The Deslondes and Silver Synthetic. From record to record, Esther Rose maintains the same attention to clear melodies and intimate storytelling while varying textures from bare ballads to denser, more abrasive tracks.
