SKYND
At the intersection of dark electro, industrial and gothic‑tinged pop, SKYND develops a conceptual project focused on criminal news stories and true crime cases. Based in Australia, the act centers on singer SKYND and a producer who appears under the pseudonym Father, creating a visual and sonic universe where each track is named after a file or a person involved in real crimes. SKYND’s lyrics approach these narratives from a storytelling perspective, supported by heavy electronic rhythms, cinematic atmospheres and a voice processed as a dramatic element of the soundscape. The discography is organized as a series of conceptual EPs — “Chapter I” (2018), “Chapter II” (2019) and “Chapter III” (2021) — collecting tracks inspired by widely publicized cases. SKYND occasionally collaborates with artists from the metal and alternative scenes, including Jonathan Davis of Korn on “Gary Heidnik” and rapper Bill $Aber on “Edmund Kemper”, thereby extending the link between metal culture, industrial aesthetics and true‑crime imagery, which the project also explores on stage and in its videos.
