Nach

Born in Albacete in 1974 and raised in Alicante, Ignacio Fornés Olmo, under the name Nach, develops a writing style situated between Spanish hip-hop, conscious rap and spoken word, with a constant focus on storytelling, introspection and social critique. Active since the mid-1990s, he first draws attention in the demo circuit with D.E.P. in 1994 and then Trucos in 1997, before publishing En la brevedad de los días in 2000. His career then takes shape with Poesía difusa in 2003, Ars Magna - Miradas in 2005, then Un día en Suburbia in 2008 and Mejor que el silencio in 2011, records that establish dense, narrative rap, highly text-centered. Nach later broadens his range with Los Viajes Inmóviles in 2014, a project closer to slam and spoken poetry, before returning to a more rap form on A través de mí in 2015. The rest of his career goes through Cazadores de Instantes in 2016 then Almanauta in 2018. Present on both Spanish hip-hop stages and Latin American tours, Nach has also crossed paths with artists such as Kase.O, Residente, Ismael Serrano or Rapsusklei. For Nach, rhythm work rests less on effect and more on verbal precision, with tracks often built around images, social reflections and clear diction.
